All clues will be described in the order that they were posted in the original discussion. This far, the order of the different clues relative to each other seems irrelevant.

The First Whisper
When Trent first posted on GamerDNA about his missing friend, he included screenshots from WoW. He received whispers from Brian's account, Tunguska, that were not normal. They contained series of letters and numbers. At the suggestion of another GamerDNA member, he sent an ingame mail to Tunguska. The response, at first glance, did not contain anything helpful. The message was:
Subject: XXXX://XXX.XXXXXX.XXX/XXXXXX

Body: 92709190@N00/2355994098 49968232@N00/2251621847 95229107@N00/2429871477 49968232@N00/2550863950
           49968232@N00/2389698664 49968232@N00/2388912259 91106816@N00/2231026318 49968232@N00/2404774671
           49968232@N00/2230826198 49968232@N00/2389713904 92709190@N00/2351343889 92709190@N00/1372732428
           49968232@N00/2112542523 49968232@N00/771378095 49968232@N00/2387238462 95229107@N00/2429874733
           49968232@N00/2390048582 49968232@N00/2404782335 34427470616@N01/2458229162 49968232@N00/2112552391

The body contained the same text as the whispers that were received by Trent. The subject was an added clue. After googling some of the series of characters, it was discovered that each set was an image of a letter on Flicker. The X's in the subject matched up with http://www.flickr.com/photos. Appending a set from the body onto the end of the Flickr address gave letters. When put into the order that they were received, the message reads:
The singularity is real

More Whispers
After figuring out the first puzzle, Brian's contact list expanded. One of the people involved in the thread, Mia, was sent two whispers in WoW from Aksugnut. Mia was not on the same server as Trent and Tunguska. The whispers were in binary. The first message received was:
01101001 01110100 01101001 01110011
01110010 01100101 01100001 01101100
It translates to:
It is real
The second message received was:
01110100 01110010 01100101 01101110
01110100 01101100 01100101 01100001
01110111 01101000 01100101 01110010
01100101 01100001 01110010 01100101
01111001 01101111 01110101
And translates to:
trentleawhereareyou

Even More Whispers
Another member who was involved in the thread, Revlazaro, also received some whispers. The first was the same as the second one above:
01110100 01110010 01100101 01101110
01110100 01101100 01100101 01100001
01110111 01101000 01100101 01110010
01100101 01100001 01110010 01100101
01111001 01101111 01110101
And translates to:
trentleawhereareyou
He also received a second whisper. It was first thought to be a jumble of random letters. It was then discovered to be a message in Base64:
VHdpbGlnaHQgQXBvc3RsZQ0KSGVyYWxkIFZvbGF6a
g0KRWxkZXIgTmFkb3gNCldlYiBXcmFwDQpIYWRyb25v
eA0KSW9uYXINClN0b3JtZm9yZ2VkIE1lbmRlcg0KUHJp
bmNlc3MgVGhlcmFkcmFzDQpFbGRlciBTcGxpdHJvY2s
NClJhem9ybGFzaA0KU3Bld2VkIExhcnZh
And translates to:
Twilight Apostle
Herald Volazj
Elder Nadox
Web Wrap
Hadronox
Ionar
Stormforged Mender
Princess Theradras
Elder Splitrock
Razorlash
Spewed Larva
All these names are references to WoW. All but Web Wrap, which is a spell, are NPC names. More importantly, the first letter of each name spells out a message:
The whispers
This is most likely the message that was sent, as opposed to the WoW references being a message.

The Blog
The website Nubuds.org was mentioned early in the thread. But no connection was made until Sensational, another involved in the thread, received an email from Trent, who's email address ends with @nubuds.org. This site is a "Blog about Lea, Trent and Brian", although Brian appears to have been the only poster. The blog is much too long to quote here. A summary will be provided.

Worth mentioning is that the blog might have been discovered to early by mistake, in the original thread the GamerDNA user Mia mentions that she recieved an ingame mail in WoW with a single line, an IP address (IP: 68.180.151.74), this IP was later confirmed to be the IP of the blog. Trent mentioned that he hoped that the GamerDNA staff would change the way the friends system worked (His e-mail address was unintentionally displayed in the automated mail that was sent when he added Sensational as a friend), so one could only assume that the blog was not meant to be discovered untill someone figured out what the IP was for.

The blog begins in May of 2008. In the first entry, Brian discusses his paper on the Tunguska Event. He goes on to talk about his failing grade, and that he passed his Asian Anthropology class anyway.

He then describes his plan for the summer. His plans include playing WoW and finding a job. Lea is gone to California for the summer and Trent is working. The talk in WoW, and Trent visits, sometimes, in real life. He also plans to do more research on Julian Teng.

Julian Teng was the person closest to the Tunguska Event who survived. Julian Teng experienced side effects from the event. It is commonly accepted that he went insane. Others, including Brian, think he actually became prophetic. According to Basil Gates, a "scientific observer" of Julian Teng, his prophecies were accurate.

Brian eventually notices that he's being watched by, what he thinks, are Russians. There are at least three total, and one of them eventually moves into the apartment above him.

His posts on the blog slowly become more idiosyncratic, until, by the end of the blog, they appear to be gibberish.

It is thought that the messages are not gibberish, but some kind of message. As of yet, the puzzle of the blog has not been solved.

The Video
Trent posted a video on Youtube here. It is a video that Trent recorded when he and some friends went to Brian's apartment to visit. Brian wasn't home at the time. It shows what the inside of Brian's apartment looks like. The video is still being investigated for any further clues on Brian's whereabouts. <youtube>4ThJQ6KKIvg</youtube>

The Ad
Lea created a banner, sort of like a missing person ad. It can be seen here. That is a picture of Brian, and Lea kissing him on the cheek. They are "just buds".</rev>
